Oh, Rodya!

[ anise finds rodya in the lounge and comes on over to greet her! she now has a plush doll hanging off of her back. ]

How are you doing? Are you getting along with your new roommate?

[ Thank youuu slides in. Rodya is hanging around, probably just reading all the weird-ass messages on the HER-MES but will dismiss the screen when she sees Anise coming over. ]

Annie~! I'm doing pretty good. My roomie is laid back and I'm enjoying everything we've got around here.

Who's your friend?

Oh, this?

[ she holds up the doll! ]

This is Tokunaga! Isn't he cute?

Tokunaga, huh? Did you make him or was he a present?

[ Can't tell if it's just style or he actually does look all stitchy and a little rough. ]

[ oh yeah, he looks very sloppily stitched, with a big jagged smile, mismatched button eyes, and the fabric's a bit worn here and there. ]

Mama made him for me, so I wouldn't feel lonely when I was away from home.

[ she's still smiling, but there's a distant longing and sadness at that. home is farther away now than it's ever been. ]

[ What a day, huh chief?

Rodion can be found laying down on one of the seats at the observation deck, taking up the whole thing as she just plays a game on her I.R.I.S.

It's Suika, she's playing Suika. ]

[ yeah, everything sucks!



....... how's her score. anise comes over to peek. ]

[ It's like 2.6k or something and she's seriously thinking hard on where she should place this brown coconut-looking thing. ]

Hmm...

[ She drops it. Gravity is slowly pulling them together...! They meld! And also sends an orange over the line. ]

Nooo!!

Aaah!!

[ she sees that too, and feels it. ]

[ The orange does the thing where it passes the line, but the game doesn't end immediately just yet. There is the split second where she has the illusion of choice. To drop the blueberry or not? ]

Wait, I can save it -- ?!

[ Nope, the game just faked her out with its lag. The game over text displays. ]

Nooo, I was doing so good with that one! I had two pineapples!

Week 1, Monday

[ Anise is checking out the new strip mall! ]

I've never seen so many kinds of clothes in one place... I wonder if they have anything cute enough for me. ♥

[ She'll look to Rodya, smiling! ] Seen anything that's your style in here?

I'm sure we can find something, that's what strip malls are for!

[ She holds a simple slightly oversized white shirt with a sewn-in black turtleneck up against herself and shows it to Anise. ]

Could you imagine me being a governor? I'd just make every workday end at like, 4. 3 on Wednesdays.

[ Do governors even have the power to do that. She has no clue. ]

Hey, Annie! Looks like ship's gonna take off soon. Where are you gonna rest at?

What are you thinking of doing?

Me, Greg, and Yura are probably gonna chill out in the rec room. Seems like a good place to spend a night.

Yeah! If you're going to get stuck somewhere, you might as well have something to do while you're there.

I wonder how many people are going to get caught in the showers this time...

Oh my God, you'd think people would learn their lesson after the third time?

[ She personally thinks anyone stuck in the showers this time deserves to get made fun of. ]

W4, monday;

[ It's hella casino time, nobody is surprised. Rodion is already prowling some of the lower level casinos to play a game or two, test out the waters and the skill level of players on this planet. She's just doing a simple game of Blackjack, hmm-ing as she's looking at her cards. She's got a 7 + 2 stacked, so obviously she should get a third.

It's a 10! ]

Nuh-uh, no way. That's 19 -- what are the chances that's gonna get beat?

[ anise is here... dressed for the casino (and so is Tokunaga)

she leans in near rodya as she looks at the cards... ]

I don't know, like, 1 in 3.

[ NOOO CUTE... ]

Wrong! it's 0%!

[ And the other dealer rolls 8, 6 -- and then a King! Bust!! The chips go to her this round. ]

Like I told you! Gotta believe you're gonna win to begin with for the best chances.
