She gave me a tattoo that let me understand Draconic and enhance my abilities sometimes. I broke it right before the Eudora nabbed me--well, I didn't break it, another dragon did. But it's my fault.
I made a brave and noble and incredibly stupid decision to stay behind and buy time for my companions to escape. I agreed to 'play' with the dragon if they were allowed to leave.
