Oh! I'd be happy to!

[she would love to train a junior business mogul.]

I did go to business school, but frankly it's all fairly simple. You just need to identify a service you can provide that people need and are willing to pay for, and then make sure you're the best at it.

What are your skills? What are you best at?

No, no, that sounds like a good start. You're getting yourself established - that takes time. You just have to figure out a way to either attract a clientele who spends more or to give tours to a lot more tourists. Increase quantity or quality.

Right. The luxury market relies on word of mouth. So you have to find a way to get your foot in the door. Instead of pitching to them, you want them believing your tours are something exclusive not just anyone can get...

The truth is, a lot of people get ahead because they already have a connection with someone in that world who can put in a good word for them. But if you don't have that, there are ways to fake it. I'd have to know more about the situation to be comfortable coming up with a plan, but you could always bribe some staff members or someone with family connections who's a little short on funds.

Oh, see? You have to leverage those however you can. Don't be shy - you'll be able to return the favor someday, after all.
